Kerala Launches 45-Day Campaign to Tackle Human-Wildlife Conflict

കേരള സർക്കാർ മനുഷ്യ–ജന്തുയുദ്ധങ്ങൾ (human-wildlife conflicts) കുറയ്ക്കാൻ 45-ദിവസത്തെ three-phase campaign പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.

• Phase 1: Local panchayats-ൽ forest helpdesks സ്ഥാപിച്ചു; conflict hotspot-കളുടെ data real-time ആയി ശേഖരിക്കും.
• Phase 2 & 3: District & State തലത്തിൽ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങൾ വിലയിരുത്തി നീണ്ടവവണെയും प्रभावी രീതിയിൽ പരിഹരിക്കും.
• ഇതിന് പുറമെ 1,954 km repair ചെയ്‌തും, 794 km new solar fencing സ്ഥാപിച്ചും, 1,584 ha monocrop പ്ലാന്റേഷൻ‌കൾ മാറ്റി ബ്രഹ്മാണ്ഡ വനമേഖലയായി പുനർനിർമ്മിച്ചും ഇടപെടലുകൾ പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നു.
• 95% compensation claims for 2023–24 processed already; 327 response teams, 3,255 volunteers wildlife conflict response-ൽ training നേടി തയ്യാറാണ്.
